Goal Summary: Improve early literacy, reading,
and math skills utilizing scientifically-based research (SBR)
practices within a Response to Intervention (RTI) framework for
students with disabilities

Main Activities
- Provision of unified support and resources from ADE
Collaboration Team, Exceptional Student Services, Reading First,
Early Childhood Education, Standards and Assessment.
- Providing ongoing training and support to 30 cohort schools
- Reading and Math Specialists.
- Training and resources for Cohort 1 (15 public/charter
schools) to become model schools - ADE Collaborative Team,
Reading and Math Specialists.
- Training and resources for Cohort 2 (15 additional
public/charter schools beginning in the third year of the grant)

- Providing toolkits for parents - Raising Special Kids
