Description:
Following are NAU\'s activities related to Goal 1:

1. Partnering with school districts for early externships followed by Clinical Fellowship Year. We placed one student on early externship in the Yuma # 1 School District

2. We have reconfigured the content of the pre-requisite coursework for the masters degree
program in clinical speech pathology and we are currently teaching that coursework via video conferencing to 11 Yuma students. They plan to apply in January to a specialized Summers Only Program to be delivered via video conferencing to the Yuma students beginning in Summer 2009.

3. All of the undergraduate prerequisite coursework in now being developed for online delivery.

4. We changed the admission ranking formula to give Arizona residents priority. As a result, the accepted pool of students is comprised of 89% Arizona residents for the Fall entering class and 81% Arizona residents for the Summers Only 2008 entering class.
