Description:
Raising Special Kids provided professional development to 16 pre-service
teachers emphasizing the important role families play in educating their children.
Panel members shared their perspective as a parent of a child with special needs and
successful tools for parent/professional collaborations. 99% of pre-service teachers reported
that they are better able to collaborate with parents in a positive manner, and better
informed on how to make decisions regarding students. 100% rated the workshop as a five (5
being the best). |
