Description:
Teachers in Special Educational Positions in Southern Arizona school districts added to the
cadre of mentees for 2008. Mentoring provided related to teaching,
IEP's, Certification, AEPA exams, courses for professional development.
Direct mentoring via telephone, emails, websites, and site visits conducted
by UA / ADE Teacher mentoring project for Special Educators coordinator.
New Teachers (13) from three (3) school districts: TUSD, SUSD, AVSD.
Continued mentoring with the five (5) teachers from SUSD, TUSD, Santa Cruz
County continues. Additionally, teachers in Arizona who graduated from the University of
Arizona in the past 3 years and are in their first three years of teaching were mentored in this
project (7). |
