Description:
Dr. Maria Nahmias of the University of Arizona Teacher Mentoring Project for Special
Educators met with several Amphitheatre Unified School District (Amphi)
administrators. The administrators co-planned professional development for special education
teachers for 2008-2009.
Collaborative Plans for Mentoring Activities were developed with UA/
Amphi. Planned Activities:
1. UA Teacher Mentoring Coordinator Maria Nahmias to participate in August
25th new Special
Education Teacher Orientation, introduce website and mentoring options in a
a presentation.
2. Services available to school districts were discussed. The district\'s
professional development coordinator and exceptional education director selected
Mentoring Activities.
3. UA Mentoring Project website was distributed to the Administrators in
May 2008. |
